The largest multi-state Powerball jackpot in history has been hit. But the multi-million dollar question still remains, who is the winner?

No one in California picked the winning numbers but two tickets had five winning numbers.

It was a historic Powerball drawing last night, as millions of people in 43 states waited for those lucky numbers.

One ticket in Florida hit the jackpot. It was sold at a grocery store in Zephyrhills, a suburb of Tampa.

However, the person who bought it hasn't come forward.

"Sad, I could have used it that's for sure," said Susan Owens, Powerball player.

"Everyone got up this morning, let's check the tickets, let's check the tickets, came down to 7-Eleven and nobody was here except for the cashiers, so I checked my tickets and didn't get anything," said Patty Soles, Powerball player.

Soles lives in Taft and has been playing the lottery for ten years.

Even though she didn't hit the jackpot, a ticket was sold at her local 7-Eleven on 6th Street, matching 5 numbers.

"In Taft of all places, right? Kern County, Taft, nothing really happens in Taft so it's exciting news," said Soles.

Employees at 7-Eleven hope the person who bought the ticket comes forward, a ticket worth more than $2.3 million.

"I was hoping it was me, but it wasn't, but i'm excited for whoever won it," continued Soles.

California lottery officials were at the store Sunday morning to give lottery shirts to employees.

Lotto winners have up to six months to claim their money.
