A woman is hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle in Oildale Thursday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. on Airport Drive, north of Norris Road.
Witnesses tell CHP officers that the pedestrian crossed the street to the median, then continued to walk when she was hit by a car.
The driver stopped at the scene saying she hadn't seen the woman.
The pedestrian was taken to Kern Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver and her infant were uninjured.
