New details emerge about the Bakersfield man accused of kidnapping and torturing his girlfriend. Police reports show earlier this month, Kristopher Lawless was involved in another alleged assault.

Reports indicate on October 4th, he pulled a woman's hair while she was driving, causing her to crash into a parked car. According to the report, Lawless then physically kicked the woman out of the car and fled.

Lawless is not charged with assault in that case because the woman asked police to drop the charges.

Charges, however, remain in the latest case from last week where prosecutors said Lawless tied up his 20-year-old girlfriend and beat her for three days. While in a home, police said Lawless tied up his girlfriend of four months and kept her in a tent.

The report states Lawless burned her with a gas torch that he uses to smoke meth, and the girlfriend told Lawless she needed to go to the hospital because every time she closed her eyes "things start spinning, and I feel like I'm going to pass out."

According to the report, Lawless refused to take her to the hospital. The report states a roommate came home when the girlfriend was tied up and Lawless told her if she made a sound he would kill her.

The report also states Lawless made his girlfriend put on long socks so she wouldn't have marks on her legs from being tied up.

Lawless is being held in jail. He is scheduled to appear in court November 19th.
