BAKERSFIELD - The county on Tuesday appointed an interim animal control director.
Shyanne Schull has taken over for now, after supervisors fired Jen Woodard last Tuesday.
Schull is helping direct county animal control's move to a new shelter, a three acre property on Fruitvale Avenue.
The county has until the end of the month to vacate the current animal control facility on Mount Vernon Avenue.
