BAKERSFIELD, CA -- The city's animal control division invites you to a low cost rabies vaccination and licensing clinic on Saturday.
The clinic to be held at Beale Park on Oleander Avenue will offer rabies vaccination and licensing along with free microchips to all currently licensed dogs.
Organizers say the electronic microchip effort is a program focused on reducing the number of impounded animals entering the shelter system and is becoming the preferred form of animal and owner identification.
