BAKERSFIELD, CA -- A push of a button. Or a flick of your shower head. That's all Johnny Olaguez says it takes for his invention to make a difference in the world. "I pushed the showerhead to the side and that's when it hit me I was like the water's running and I'm soaping up."
His product is called the Luka. It's essentially a pause button installed onto your shower head. "So you're showering right and then you get a phone call and you simply press it to the side and the water should go off."
So far, Olaguez has developed two prototypes. He says his product will help not only conserve water, but taxpayer money. "My goal is to not get set with that $25 billion bill instead I'll spend $10 right now, save water and you know keep on living."
Olaguez is hoping to raise $10,000 to get his invention off the ground. If you would like to support his cause, here's the link to his fundraising page: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/luka-your-shower-reinvented/x/5103871
