OILDALE, CA - Oildale resident Lueanna Nord was making coffee when she heard a knock at the door.
"They jerked us out of the house pretty much, had guns on us, threw my grandson down on the driveway. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Still right now have not seen a search warrant," said Nord.
On Tuesday, the California Department of Justice raided a home at 329 Beardsley Avenue. Nord's husband, 67-year-old Alvin Seal, and 39-year-old Erik Stoffel were arrested at a home in Apple Valley and booked into the San Bernardino County Jail.
"It was a two-month undercover investigation, and so they sold illegal firearms to an undercover officer," said Michelle Gregory, California Department of Justice.
State DOJ agents raided three locations: Seal's Oildale home, a home in Apple Valley and Seal's store, "The War Bunker" in Oildale, that's now closed.
They seized more than 300 firearms including handguns and two World War II grenades. At the time of the arrests, the department says both men were in possession of 50 additional firearms.
"My husband is a war time memorabilia collector. I mean he's got stuff and he's got the knowledge," said Nord.
Nord says most of the firearms were just collectors items and weren't in working condition. But, this isn't the first time Seal has had his weapons confiscated.
"Darryl Howell died out there in Taft. Yeah, the BPD got us," said Nord.
Nord says her husband was involved in another raid in 1998. The Bakersfield Californian reported in September 1998, ATF agents raided Seal's store "The War Bunker" for investigation of several weapons violations. Agents seized more than 250 firearms.
"But, they ended up where they had to give Alvin all of his guns back," said Nord.
