BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield police need your help finding two men they say tried to steal a woman's purse while a van was in motion in southwest Bakersfield. Police say the victim had been waling alone towards the entrance to Walmart on Gosford Road earlier this month. That's when the two suspects described only by police as two African-American men, tried to snatch her purse while a van was moving.
Police say the woman had been pulled violently and her head struck the van, causing moderate injuries. The suspect vehicle is described as an early 90's, white Chevrolet Astro cargo-van, stock in appearance with tinted rear windows.
