BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield police are looking for a man they say stole personal checks from a locked car then used those checks to buy goods at Target.
Police say the man broke into the car that had been locked in the 7400 block of Calle Privada on March 16. The following day, according to police, he entered the Target store on Stockdale Highway and bought goods by forging and passing one of the victim's checks.
He is described by police as white, Mid 20's to Mid 30's, 5'-10" to 6'-1", 185-205 lbs., short, dark hair, possibly thinning on top, with slight side-burns, Wearing a short-sleeved button-front shirt, with a white and dark blue checkered pattern and dark blue denim pants.
