BAKERSFIELD, CA - The intersection of Panama Lane and Wible Road is back open after a deadly motorcycle crash Wednesday morning closed the roadway for about six hours.
Officers said the motorcycle rider crashed into a car in the intersection around 2 a.m. The motorcycle rider succumed to his injuries at the hospital a short time after the collision.
He has been identified by the Kern County Coroner as Robert David Rodeen, 30, of Bakersfield
Bakersfield Police say one of the drivers ran a red light, but have not said who was at fault.
Officers said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
