BAKERSFIELD, CA - Some local news personalities showed off their talents at the Media Music Jam at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace.
Saturday night 17's Jim Scott and Maddie Janssen sang "Smooth" with Thee Majestics. Telemundo's Norma Ontiveros also joined them on stage.
Not only is it a good time, it's also for a good cause. The event raises money for the Kern County Cancer Fund helping local families who are battling cancer.
The family of two-year-old Faith Villanueva shared her story. She developed a rare mass six months ago -- that affects four in one million children per year. Faith has gone through 20 weeks of chemotherapy in Los Angeles, but still has another 27 to go.
All of the proceeds from the event will go to help local cancer patients who are struggling financially.
