BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Deputies need your help finding a man they say went missing Monday morning northwest of Bakersfield.
Deputies say Timothy Edwards was working Monday with several individuals, rebuilding fencing near the Boy Scout Camp near Highway 155 and Rancheria Road. Co-workers suggested Edwards return to their base camp and take a nap. When the co-workers returned to the base camp that evening, they discovered Edwards was missing as well as a camouflage colored Polaris Quad. It does not appear that Edwards took food or water with him. Co-workers attempted to locate Edwards in the area, but were unsuccessful.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., Timothy Edwards was reported missing by a co-worker and Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue teams responded. Search and Rescue teams on horseback and motorcycle, as well as ground hikers began searching for Edwards. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office helicopter has been conducting searches from the air, assisting ground units in coordinating their search efforts in areas the helicopter has limited visibility.
Timothy Edwards is a 47-year-old white man. He is 6’1” tall, 210 lbs, blue eyes, with red hair shaved very close to the head and a goatee. He was last seen possibly wearing a red shirt and blue Wrangler jeans. Edwards has not contacted family or friends since he was reported missing. Edwards suffers from a form of asthma.
