BAKERSFIELD, CA - Two teenage girls are back in the care of their parents after police said one of them was held hostage and sexually assaulted for several days. Their alleged attacker is now in custody after one of the alleged victims ran into a local restaurant asking for help.
According to police, a 17-year-old girl ran into the Roadhouse Grill on Rosedale Highway just after 10 a.m. Tuesday saying she was a victim of domestic violence and rape.
The girl told police she was held against her will by Jacob Dixon, 27, of Bakersfield for three days at a home in the 1700 block of B Street. Police said, during that time, she was sexually assaulted and assaulted with a deadly weapon.
Dixon was found the next day and arrested at a home in the 2500 block of Alder Street, where police said they found a 16-year-old girl who said she was also a victim of sexual assault. No word on how long the second girl was in the company of Dixon. Both teens have been treated for their injuries.
"You know it is kind of an unusual case and there are just some people that are ill-intent, not good people. it sounds like at this point in the investigation Mr. Dixon is a sexual predator," said Sgt. Joe Grubbs of the Bakersfield Police Department.
Dixon was booked at the Kern County Jail and faces charges of 26 felonies for both alleged victims, including 16 counts of statutory rape, one count of false imprisonment and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
Dixon does have a criminal history, according to court records. In May 2010, he pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon. He served a total of four days in jail and was sentenced to three years probation.
Dixon was being held on a total of more than $800,000 bail for both cases. He is scheduled for a hearing on July 7.
