BAKERSFIELD, CA -- The Bakersfield Blaze has cancelled Monday night's game against the Giants due to a transformer failure at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Team officials say Monday night's game will be made up Wednesday as part of a morning/midday doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m., with each game set to run for the shortened length of 7 innings apiece.
Fans with tickets to Monday's game can redeem those tickets for new seats of equal (or lesser) price to any regular season Blaze game the rest of this 2014 season.
Wednesday's doubleheader will combine Monday's and Wednesday's promotions. One dollar tickets and hot dogs will be available, and fans bringing electronic waste to the park can get in for free, thanks to Bakersfield Hyundai and Alianza Recycling.
