"Who's excited that's standing in line?"
"We got here at 5:30am."
Hundreds of excited shoppers showed up bright and early for the grand opening of The Outlets at Tejon Ranch.
"We wanted to be the first in Tejon history. And all these deals too, as well," said Augie Gutierrez.
Discounts and other incentives rewarded eager opening day shoppers. H&M gave away scratchers worth up to $300 for the first 100 people in line.
"Free $300 and she got free $200," said shoppers Carolina and Alex Carrillo.
And even the H&M staff was pumped to open their doors at 10:00 Thursday morning.
"Stores are staffed up, they're revved up they have high energy," said General manager of The Outlets, Brian Hassett.
With more than 70 stores and restaurants the outlets have plenty to satisfy the savvy shopper. And The Outlets also offer jobs -- an estimated 2,500 jobs created in all.
From A'Gaci to Zumiez people young and old can finally take advantage of the much anticipated outlets. But before exploring the new 43 acre shopping center, be sure you're wearing the right footwear.
"I always recommend people to come out and wear comfortable shoes because you're going to be doing some power walking and power shopping," Hassett said.
There's no hard date in place for the completion of phase two of The Outlets but Hassett says they are projecting it to be finished in early to mid 2016.
