BAKERSFIELD, CA. - Five subjects have been arrested on various drug and theft charges, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives from the Rural Crimes Investigation Unit on Saturday, Nov. 1, were investigating a report of stolen ranching equipment.
The equipment was located after they responded to the location but a probation search of the residence led detectives to find a loaded, short barreled shotgun, suspect methamphetamine, and items indicating that narcotics were being sold at the residence.
As a result, detectives arrested five subjects identified as: David John Oropeza, 28, of Shafter; Jason Allen Griffith, 34, of Bakersfield; John David Vantassel, 43, of Bakersfield; Michael Taylor Bronson, 30, of Bakersfield; and Tabatha Leslie Niederberger,22, of Bakersfield.
All subjects were arrested for various charges and booked into the Kern County Jail.
