TEHACHAPI, CA - A temporary holding facility for inmates in Tehachapi is back open. Tehachapi police say the holding facility for booking purposes, opened on Tuesday. In the past a cuffing bench was used. The holding facility has three cells that can hold 2 people each. Once the inmates are booked, they are transferred to jails either in Bakersfield or Mojave.
