BAKERSFIELD, CA - Police have released the name of the woman accused of shooting an AT&T employee while he was on the job yesterday in south Bakersfield.
According to BPD, the man was shot just after 4 p.m. in the 1500 block of P Street.
The man and a co-worker were installing cables when the woman began shooting.
Officers describe his injuries from the gunshot as moderate.
The second victim was shot at but not injured.
The shooter was identified as 26-year-old Daneshia Manning of Bakersfield.
Manning is now in custody. She has been booked on two counts of attempted murder and gun possession.
BPD said she also is a suspect in an unrelated robbery case so officers booked her on additional charges of robbery and felony evading.
BPD say her shooting at the two utility workers seems to be random, but they are still investigating a motive.
