BAKERSFIELD, CA - The 24th Street Improvement Project is going back to the drawing board.
After a lengthy discussion, the Bakersfield City Council decided at their meeting on Jan. 21 to send the project blueprints back to staff for design refinements.
Councilmembers Terry Maxwell, Bob Smith and Willie Rivera pushed for a design review regarding the asthetic aspects of soundwalls and landscaping.
No date has been set for groundbreaking on that project.
