Caltrans closed the northbound transition ramp to eastbound Hwy. 58 Friday morning after antifreeze spilled onto the roadway.
The spill was first reported just after 7 a.m. following a possible traffic collision. The blue antifreeze rolled downhill toward a storm drain and responding CHP officers were initially concerned it would create a HAZMAT situation.
Caltrans contained the fluid around 9:30 a.m. and the connector was reopened around 12:40 p.m.
