Two teens are charged with killing three family members in Wyoming, that had ties to Bakersfield.
18-year-old Tanner Van Pelt and 19-year-old Stephen Hammer are charged with robbery and premeditated murder.
Police say Van Pelt and Hammer killed 40-year-old Ildiko Freitas and her parents 69-year-old Janos and 70-year-old Hildegard Volgyesi.
According to court documents, the teens told investigators they stole handguns from a gun store and went to a house they knew, to steal a black Audi SUV so they could escape to Denver.
The house is where the three family members were found dead.
Freitas grew up in Bakersfield and was a graduate of South High School.
Her brother says his parents moved to Wyoming a few years ago to retire. They lived on the same property as Freitas and her husband, but in a different house.
