A Bakersfield hotel manager accused of killing her tenant during a heated dispute is expected in court Monday.
Lisa Richardson, 46, is accused of killing 45-year-old Allan Johnson. It happened last Wednesday at the St. Francis Hotel on Sumner Street in east Bakersfield.
Richardson says she changed all the locks and gave the tenants new keys but Johnson was out late and didn't get a new key. He mistakenly thought he had been kicked out and the two began to argue.
She admitted killing her tenant to 17 News last Thursday, but says it was self defense.
