Bakersfield-A man was arrested after the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of domestic violence in the 500 block of Plymouth Street in Oildale.
Deputies conducted an investigation and said Daniel Guzman-Bartel, 25, was driving a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of Sharon Place. Guzman-Bartel led deputies on a short chase that ended when Guzman-Bartel's vehicle collided with a chain link fence at the intersection of Date Street and Belle Avenue, deputies said.
Guzman-Bartel ran from the vehicle and was pursued by deputies. Guzman-Bartel he was taken into custody after a struggle with a Sheriff's canine.
Guzman-Bartel was treated for his injuries and was booked into the Kern County Jail on charges including domestic violence, criminal threats, possession of a stolen vehicle, failure to yield causing property damage, hit and run, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest.
Guzman-Bartel also had three outstanding felony warrants and four outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest, Sheriff's officials said.
