Investigators believe two street racers hit and killed a pedestrian in east Bakersfield.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. Friday night at the intersection of Oswell and Lake Streets.
California Highway Patrol officers say two cars may have been racing north on Oswell when they came to the intersection.
Officers say a man was hit by both vehicles.
Both drivers stopped, but one left his car and ran off.
Police arrested G. Reyesinzuna for driving under the influence.
The name of the man killed has not been released.
This is the 22nd pedestrian in Kern County to be hit and killed this year.
