BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Bakersfield. It happened around 9:30 Friday morning.
Officers say a man was shot multiple times at the Hollywood Market on East Planz Road. Someone attempted to take him to Kern Medical Center, but officers found the car and stopped it at Highway 58 and Cottonwood Road. They called for an ambulance.
Officers are talking to witnesses. The suspects are described as 2 to 4 African American men who drove away in a newer two-door grey sedan.
Police are also checking to see if there is any surveillance video.
The victim is expected to survive.
