BAKERSFIELD, CA- A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into the side of a car in Southwest Bakersfield.
It happened Thursday night just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Ming Avenue and Akers Road.
Bakersfield police said the driver of a Mitsubishi sedan, Issac Rosete, 22, of Bakersfield was on Ming Avenue turning southbound on Akers Road, when the motorcyclist collided with the sedan.
Officers said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where he later died.
His identity has not been released as of Friday morning.
Officers said Rosete is cooperating with the investigation. They said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with infromaiton is asked to call the bpd at 327-7111.
