BAKERSFIELD, CA -- County health officials are out with their weekly update on flu cases this season. According to the department there have been no flu deaths since last Tuesday.
The total number of flu deaths in Kern County remains at 20 since January 7. One hundred twelve people have been diagnosed and hospitalized with the flu.
The majority of flu cases have tested positive for Influenza-A. Eighty eight people have been released from the hospital.
