BAKERSFIELD, CA -- The California Highway Patrol will accept online applications in July to fill vacant officer positions in Bakersfield and throughout the state.
Applications will only be accepted online during the four day period of July 7 to July 10, 2014. CHP officials say this brief period is the first time this year, the CHP has accepted applications. Candidates are expected to meet minimum qualifications that include: must be 20-35 years old, a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions, and be a high school graduate. Applicants will also need to complete the entire testing process including a physical ability test, written test, background check, medical/vision evaluation, and psychological evaluation.
