BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield police are asking for your help finding three teens accused of stealing a cell phone from a man who has a developmental disorder and was confined to a wheelchair on a GET bus.
Police say on the afternoon of On July 10, the bus stopped at a bus stop in the 4000 block of Chester Ave. to pick up and drop off passengers. While exiting the bus one of the teens distracted the driver while another removed the victim’s smart phone from his wheelchair while the third teen used her backpack to conceal the crime from other passengers.
