BAKERSFIELD, CA. - The California Hghway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 5 that happened early this morning.
The incident happened just after midnight on southbound I-5 near the Taft Highway exit.
According to the CHP, the driver of a pickup pulled in front of a Honda and was struck.
The pickup rolled over several times, ejecting the driver.
Officers said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
The driver's identity has not been released.
According to the CHP website, the woman driving the Honda suffered a panic attack and was taken to the hospital.
It's unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
